OVERVIEW

TECS is a Technician Education College Support program offered by Toyota & Lexus. TECS is a voluntary program available at participating high schools, vocational schools, technical colleges, or a private technical training facility. Students attending a school participating in TECS can complete e-learning modules to achieve the first level of Technician certification valid at Toyota or Lexus dealerships. This certification level is the first step in building a career as Technician at a Toyota or Lexus Dealership.

Student Certifications

Students who complete the e-learning modules achieve Toyota Maintenance level certified Technician status or Lexus Foundations certified Technician status. Students can obtain additional hands-on skills that can be applied at the local dealership.

Inquire about the TECS Program

Ask high school counselors, instructors, or a job placement director at the local technical colleges if they participate TECS program. Or you can utilize the "Find a School" map on this site to locate schools participating in TECS. Participating TECS schools enroll students in the TECS program. Students must be 16 years or older to be enrolled.
